I spent 2 hours on Saturday moving desks around cause there is so many of them in my second grade class that it is difficult to set up the room in a way that is safe and functional.

Listen, I’m ten toes down for NDP in next election…but you gotta move away from grievance politics and start sharing evidence- and data-based action plans that will be ready to initiate on day one. We KNOW these things suck, you’re just echoing what we’re saying instead of presenting a solution. This is where you lose the undecided and fringe voters.

More money per public student would be a good start. Charter schools get the most, while a public school student has the lowest amount of funding in the country.

disability class rooms went from haveing 10 or 20 or so kids to now haveing 50 because theres not enough room in the normal class rooms thwy peomised in high school you can move schools now you cant its to over crowded.

I’m a grade 10 student, majority of my classes are filled with 35 kids+ this leaves the rooms always overheated, crowded, and loud. Not only does it cause disruption for teachers, it causes it for students too, classrooms just aren’t big enough and the ratio of students to kids just isn’t right, mentally and physically, it’s a huge overload onto everyone. Adults of Alberta, please do better.

We need more appropriate and ethical supports for special needs students! They are not meeting their potential thrown into an inclusion setting without adequate funding and support!

part of the over crowding isnt even the quantity of students, its the quantity of teachers. take my former high school for example. when a lot of my teachers started there, there was a relatively similar amount of students. but these days theres less teachers, so more students per teacher.
