@pointedbyjared: If you have 182,000 Amex points, you have enough points to fly Emirates First Class and take a shower on a plane. JFK to Milan on the A380. Private suite, shower spa, and unlimited caviar poured alongside Dom Pérignon, the only airline in the world with the rights to serve it. Here's exactly how it works. Emirates cut off First Class award bookings in May 2025 for anyone without Skywards elite status. But upgrading a business ticket to First is still open to every tier. That's the door that's still unlocked. ✅ Business Class one-way, JFK → Milan: 100,000 Skywards miles ✅ Upgrade to First: 45,000 more ✅ Total: 145,000 miles, plus taxes and fees Amex transfers at 5:4 now, so that's about 182,000 Membership Rewards points. Bilt is the only 1:1 partner left, and Chase dropped Emirates entirely in October 2025. I won't sugarcoat the fees. Emirates raised surcharges hard on this route, so budget north of $400 one way. Then you shower at 40,000 feet with a glass of Dom in your hand. Comment "card" and I'll send you links to the cards that make this possible, or find them in my bio under "all my referral links." I may receive compensation through YBCC if you apply using my links. I only recommend cards I believe in.
