Everyone likes the sound of their own name so say, “It’s really nice to meet you, Mike.” 2️⃣Compliment them. ❌Do not compliment their appearance. No. Don’t be creepy. Compliment the work they do at this company or some of the projects that they just finished. Perhaps you can complement the office/space and or room where you are interviewing. Compliment them on how they have handled the interview process or how impressed you are with the organization as a whole. 3️⃣ Be curious. ✅Ask great questions. I think it’s important that you break things down by gender, because I’ve noticed when interviewed by men that using self-effacing humor makes them think I’m incompetent 😭😭😭
