I hear this. I am 5 months post discard after 6 years, my sister has met someone online and e wry date has been perfect and 5 dates in they are exclusive and talking about how they will keep their houses and have certain nights at each others house. I’m the one in the family saying woah way too fast. My gut instinct has kicked in and I’m catching red flags. 🚩

This certainly resonates with me right now Abby. I sort have started seeing someone and my guard is up so high that I’m not trusting my own judgement anymore. Every nice gesture I’m questioning!!!! I really want to trust again because logically I know there are loyal empathic men out there but coming out of that kind of relationship, forever changes you.

I’m still shocked at what can trigger me. I experienced the same level of love bombing. Eventually, I would be dropped off at the emergency room when I needed emergency surgery.

I’ve stayed single since the narcissist. I just feel not only trusting someone else, I can’t trust myself to choose a healthy partner. Sounds crazy! I was married for 24 years to a narcissist! That was enough! I guess I’m wounded.

I’m scared to move on or scared to open up again because I can’t handle another fall out or intense breakup and abuse. Also what if they show back up and I’m moved on and happy? Sounds dumb but scared of the reprocussions.

I get what you’re saying. My Ex came to our first baby scan and the consultant said she couldn’t see the baby’s bladder and my ex was almost hysterical. When she finished she said because it peed. I said to my ex outside the door never again he was so chaotic. I know that if he did want to come I’d have let him bet like yours he never did. I did both babies on my own.

Yeah except I declined every time because I’m very independent, when I did need a ride major surgery he said absolutely, doubled down when confirming days before and he said oh I forgot, I have a dental appt which was total BS. That was the end.
