R1234yf got phased in over several years by various manufacturers. It is flammable ! Mercedes Benz stopped using it and went back to R134A. You can recover the 1234yf and refill with the correct amount of R134a no problem !

You don’t have to run 1234yf in any new system. They will all work with 134a. Engineers have proven this years ago. Thought this was common knowledge in the car world. Crazy how many people don’t know this that’s in the business. I have literally replace 134a in 1234yf systems hundreds of times and works like new 💯

They use the same comp, flush the system, pull a vacuum, fix any leaks, put in 134A oil and then 134A ref. All good.

I swear these politicians that pass regulations laws for EPA have ownership stakes in these companies that manufacture these specialty products; like this new refrigerants and DEF products.
