A routine interaction for me is telling adults that only teens can hang out in the Teen Area. (Anyone can browse/borrow from the Teen Area, but only teens can hang out there!) And we have signs, but of course they don’t read them. 🙃 Most adults are fine with moving, but then there are the ones who become deeply offended.

The nicest thing a librarian ever said to me was: “Anywhere you and baby are comfortable” - when I asked her if I could breastfeed in the library. She also added, “And if ANYONE has an issue with it, tell them to come see me!” 😂😂😂 That made new mom me really grateful.
