many years ago, like 40, I learned the Aboriginies do not celebrate birthdays. When someone feels they have undergone great growth, they announce that they'd like a celebration. Being this is about major growth only, a person of the tribe may leave this earth considered to be only 2 or 3yrs of age After this, I stopped paying much attention to chronological age.
