Gotcha love employers that hire people just because they want to get in the good graces of one of their friends or relatives. I remember when I was just out of highschool and I had just gotten laid off from my previous job because it was the slow season and I was basically hired because they needed help getting a large job done and when it got slow they laid 3 of us off. My dad told me that at the sawmill he worked at they needed someone to do maintenance on the heavy equipment like greasing and oil changes. Well I had experience doing that from a job I worked at while I was in highschool and I had a good reference from that job. I went down and interviewed and the foreman that interviewed me was really impressed but I didn't get the job because the main boss had a nephew that needed a job and he gave it to him. A few years later I was talking to a friend I had gone to school with and he worked at the same Mill doing the same job and he told me that yes he knew that guy they hired and he was an idiot he couldn't do anything he had to be shown how to do the job and he broke more stuff and screwed more stuff up then he could remember and they ended up having to fire him because he couldn't do anything right.
