AI is being used more and more in hardware as well. We are cooked.

Should people still learn code manually and then get into agentic coding?

How do you not have your ego tied to your productivity as a human coder but your ego is somehow tied into being productive and continuing to work a “career” truly if ai is already better at coding than most if not all people, and will take over even more fields is the human existence even tied to labor or a career atp

This came to my mind the other day , im currently studying for computer engineering in my 4th year, recently i started using ai alot more , i’ve built and sold many software applications, iy helped me build the back end host it online and every other thing that i was never really taught and really the entire process started feeling like on how creative i am while making those apps. But i always had a question on my mind whats next? Do i really need to learn any new language?

You never answered my point in your video about loving data centers and that we need to build more. I would love for you to read it and respond. Summary is essentially data centers are bad for the environment (not the water aspect, the demand aspect for energy use) we would need to reopen power plants to keep up with demand. If you love data centers so much instead of trying to force rural locals to allow data centers in their neighborhoods why don’t we put all the data centers you want next to your place in sf. Y’all sf tech bros love it so much, why don’t yall put your money where your mouth is and put all the data centers yall are itching for all in your city and let’s see how much you love it after 10 years

I think that vibe coding is messy, you need to understand architecture to be able to write good code, especially once the project beyond a prototype. I would say i’m fairly decent at this, but my question to you is, where would you put your focus when it comes to learning AI? For example, efficiency, or is it literally just coding, following the architecture while simultaneously making sure the codebase is organised?

The baseline skill level in almost every white collar field is about to experience an exponential shift. What we used to consider difficult or specialized is becoming entry level thanks to modern AI and automation tools. This will inevitably give rise to future careers we can't even fathom right now. Just think about it: an ordinary person in 1902 couldn’t comprehend the career of an airplane pilot, and a professional in 1974 would have no reference point for what a cloud engineer does.the future is inevitable, just stay ahead and don’t be the boomer who didn’t catch on to the internet or personal digital device era or social media.

Would u mind elaborating on what skills u have developed besides coding? I’m interested in knowing what tasks tech jobs are more relevant nowadays

What do you mean learn this technology? Learn how to prompt? If so , anyone literally can do it. So my advice would be to learn the basics while also using AI because prompting doesn’t need any skill but understanding the fundamentals requires lots of practice

80% of engineers I worked with pre AI put all their irl stat points into the art of coding (and tied their ego to it as you said); leaving all of their other soft skills at near 0. It’s a very rude awakening for those who fail to adapt

valid take but it’s a bit ignorant to pigeonhole those who don’t like ai as “tying ego”. Sure some do, but that’s not to say writing code can bring fulfillment to some. Not like that’ll impact adaptation but still

It’s not about writing the code it’s about understanding the code you write. You can ask AI to code using best standard , security everything and someone needs to validate it, to do that you need system understanding. someone can say ohh we can use AI to review AI generated code and so on, then it will be endless loop. This is just my opinion may be Im wrong

Don’t think AI can be useful to solve problem by taking from existing solutions or finding similar patterns. but it doesn’t work well when there’s no enough context for the solution 😁

I’m so excited about ai. I always disliked software engineering. As a techie, prompt design is the best thing since “slice cheese”…! 🧀🤪
