Julie, what about people who skip the actively dying and just die in their sleep or die on the golf course? The body does nothing to prepare the body for death in these cases.

That has happened to me only once in 20 years in hospice and it was so crazy!! I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it with my own eyes. I also had a patient go from walking and talking, to deciding to lay down. Within 30 minutes, I watched her go straight into the actively dying process, all the breathing changes, and then take her last breath! I have never seen that before or since.

This happened with my Great Grandmother.She was over 100 years old. She was PROUNCED DE@D at the hospital and my family called me to let me know. Tears shed and I began thinking about making flight arrangements for her funeral. 20 minutes later I got a call that she came back. She lived for almost another year...🤍
