These are just the basics of a good hair wash routine that everyone should know! Healthy hair comes from a healthy scalp! 1. Brush your hair before shampooing! 2. Wet your hair until it’s soaking wet before applying your first shampoo. If you have thick hair, section your hair in half. 3. Take a generous amount of your first shampoo, distribute it between your palms, and apply it to your scalp only. Massage your scalp with your fingertips for 1 minute. Make sure you cover every area! 4. Rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear. Use lukewarm water only! 5. Apply your second shampoo and repeat the same process. There’s no need to shampoo your lengths, as the shampoo will run through them when you rinse. Shampoo your lengths occasionally if you’ve used a lot of styling products or there’s noticeable build up. 6. Apply your conditioner to your lengths using squeezing motions. Leave it on for 2–3 minutes, then gently detangle your hair with your fingers. You can use a brush too, but I prefer using my fingers because I don’t have much hair 😀 But even when my hair was thick, I still detangled it with my fingers, so it’s just a personal preference. ☺️ I don’t normally wash my hair upside down, but I did it for the purpose of this video. I would usually wash my hair standing upright, apply my conditioner, then wash the rest of my body while I leave it on. I don’t clip my hair up because all that conditioner will end up on my scalp. 😀 7. Do your final rinse. Make sure you rinse until your hair feels squeaky clean. If you think you’ve rinsed enough, rinse a tiny bit more! 8. Wrap your hair in a microfiber towel. And that’s it! Do you wash your hair like this? How do curly girls wash their hair? I’m curious to know! 💗 #hairwash #hairroutine #hairtok #hairtips #ancahairjourney
