I used could care less in a comment section once it triggered people for weeks with replies. But honestly I could care less. 😝

The horrified and mortified thing bothers me too. Mortified means embarrassed/humiliated.

There’s a common thing in England as well where they say “brought” instead of “bought”😖

I’m going to be honest. I’m not sure if it’s “play it by air” or “play it by ear”

As I get older, I care about semantics less and less. I'm not an english teacher or a proof-reader. It's not my job to correct people, and I don't have the energy for it. If you got your point across, if I knew what you meant despite using the wrong word/phrase, that's good enough. Message received. Like, you can only correct "your" vs "you're" so many times, before you stop caring.
If you ask for mozzarella sauce, I'll hand you marinara, but I'm not going to tell you you're wrong.
My husband was explaining to me yesterday, how some bugs aren't bugs. We all know spiders are arachnids and not insects; but some insects are "true bugs" and all other insects are not bugs. And yet, I will continue to call them all bugs.

I legit screamed “FINALLY” with the “10am in the morning” one. It pisses me off so bad. Like why are you saying the same thing twice in two different ways and in the same sentence. Although, I say “all of the sudden” rather than “all of a sudden” so I can’t say too much😂

It’s like nails on a chalk board for me when people don’t add the possessive s before a gerund. You don’t “see a person running.” You “see a person’s running” or “see a person run.” It’s very nitpicky, so I never point it out. I silently suffer instead.

there’s a difference between speaking this and writing this, words get jumbled up when we speak them so I really don’t think most people are intentionally changing the phrase it just kinda happens

I know multiple people who say “flustrated” and I think it’s adorable. I also know someone who regularly says “fresh of breath air” and now I have to second guess myself whenever I say the phrase because that way got so stuck in my head
