Absolutely spot on mate, in my opinion this squad is stronger than the squad that Slot had last season, when you take into account the players that were unavailable so often last season, the players that were miles off where they were before, this squad is much stronger. If Ireola finishes outside the top 5, who will all the Slot outers blame then? Because if last season was all down to Slot then Ireola should finish at least top 3 and win a trophy!! So let’s see, and let’s see who’s to blame if he doesn’t.

it's about the quality for me kerkez and frimpong..even isak and wirtz this season will tell all to see about that need 8 or 9 from wirtz and isak on regular basis so hopefully iraola will get things going now

The depth issue comes from looking at other clubs we should be competing with (Arsenal) who the other night brought on Zubamendi, Bruno and Moreno as their second midfield - you’d argue not a huge drop off in quality. We don’t have that luxury. Remove our starting 3 and it’s not a midfield that will get you challenging for trophies.

I think u have to let slot go, u where wrong, get over it, no one was calling for him to be sacked cuz he didn’t win the league, it cuz he had the one of wrost season ever in terms of points in the prem and a record number of losses, and what personally drove me over the edge was him pretending that we were unlucky and not had massive underlying issues.

If iraola loses 9 of 12 matches as slot did then defo sack him. harping on this line loses credibility in your analysis.i wonder if there is a graph on current performance vs depth for iraola vs slot. positive thing for iraola is the rb, lb situation which the fan base will forgive him. also if VVD drops off further along with Allison it will give him time. If xabi wins the league then the vibes will be horrendous.

He's got the midfield they all called a ready made title midfield don't forget and wirtz a year down the line, same with mcconnel and nyoni. He's got pace added out wide . Now theres 3 100m+ players and he's fucked the great calvin ramsey off so he must be alright with his right back situation. I don't wanna here it from anyone who's came out with shite the last year me .

I think it was criminal not to add a CDM like Lamine Camarra. I understand the financial limitations we have. The depth overall is actually not too bad this season. I'm happy with it but the Lamine Camarra signing could have made us contenders for many trophies this season. I feel like it'll be a Top 4 place finish and maybe quarter final off champions league. maybe a run in the fa cup. Once the attack starts clicking it'll be a very flowing attack. wirtz in the pockets Barcola Ekitike Munoz all dangerous. Trey Nyoni could be very important this season. If Iraola is sensible he'll rotate the midfielders of Gravenbearch, McCallister and Nyoni giving him lots of minutes but not too much pressure.
