Any spiritual rank attainable by men can also be attained by women, including the highest rank of Prophethood (Nubuwwah). While women cannot serve as messengers of Allah to convey a divine message to their people, they nonetheless can earn the spiritual authority of a prophet without being appointed as messengers of Allah. Before proceeding further, if you still do not comprehend the distinction between a 'Prophet' (Nabi) and a 'Messenger' (Rasul) in Islam. A Prophet is an individual who receives divine inspiration from Allah and possesses the spiritual authority akin to that of a Messenger; however, he is not specifically appointed by Allah to convey a message to a particular community. A Messenger of Allah is a Prophet whom Allah has commissioned to call their people to adhere to the righteous path, often by delivering a new Shariah (law), or to remind them of existing laws, regardless of whether their people are believers.
