This will help channel the water down towards the roots and avoid wasting water as it runs off across the soil. Avoid using water that has been left in a watering can all day. Chances are it will be boiling hot and if you pour this over your plants it will kill the plants. The same goes for any residue water that you might have left in your hose pipe. Again this residue water in the hose pipe will be scolding hot if the hose pipe was left in the sun. If you use this water in the garden it will burn your plants. So before using the water in the hose run the tap water through it first, allowing the hot water trapped in the hose pipe to escape first before using it on your plants. One final watering tip for your garden is to always water the soil around the base of the plants so that the roots can absorb it. Try to avoid watering the leaves and flowers.
