The step mother made a decision knowing it would cause conflict and upset bio mom. I already know this isnโt the only thing they do to hurt, inconvenience, or stress mom out. Now imagine trying to parent constantly stressed, upset or worried about whatโs next. Everyone saying itโs just hair - itโs not just hair. If the gf/dad came to mom and asked they could have figured something out (clip in extensions or sparkles, wash out colour etc.) but they didnโt because it wasnโt about hair it was about conflict and control.

I will never understand the weird control parents want to have over their childrenโs bodies. If your child is able to explain to you why they want this very simple and temporary thing, then why are you denying it? I had a step mom who embraced all of me and helped me do the same. She dyed my hair and taught me how, she helped me embrace my weirdness.. that matters so much more then people realize
