I have the jackery Explorer v2 and it can charge my 5.5 cu Ft deep freezer for 24 hours. I also bought 2 solar panels to charge it.

Great information! Thank you for all your videos. I just got a Jackery and it came with a small cord. I will have to get a longer cord to run from the solar panels to the unit if it’s attached to my refrigerator. What do you recommend for cords?

I know this sounds trivial. But Amazon has tiny $23 dvd players. Would be priceless for those times boredom is overwhelming. Initially you will be busy with preps. Eventually you will have time…. I would aim for at least a 2000w power bank. 200-400 watts of solar panels. Use your fridge food first. Try to dehydrate what you can…. Lastly use non perishables. EVERYONE should own an old school pressure cooker to save fuel…

As a solo person, I opt to going smaller, tv, fridge, lanterns, stove, closed off areas etc.. I've been practicing months at a time. Your advice has been great. Im good for about 3 months now working on a year. It's this our leave the country

This is great & helpful info. If you need a little help with your calculations, EcoFlow has a tool on their website (U.S.ecoflow.com) that calculates the correct size for your need based on what you will plug up to the solar generator. From the website scroll to the bottom and under Support select the Site Map then scroll down to the Pages section and select “Help me choose”.

I live in Arizona, summer heat is 118 to 125. Would it be smarter for me to just leave Arizona if the grid goes down? We have to run AC 24/7 for at least 3 months solid.

My biggest worry is charging the solar generator or solar panels in the winter time. Especially living in the Midwest. It’s so cloudy and barely any direct sunlight at times.

I have everything I need powerwise and am getting ready to put in a couple cisterns for non-potable water just in case the well becomes inoperable. I live in the forest and all of my neighbors are prior military or law enforcement. Praying it doesn't come to pass but at least my home is big enough to house all the elderly and disabled people in our community and we have food to sustain them.

This is great information because when I first purchased a solar battery, it was only 300 W and I couldn’t run my coffee pot:( Now I have larger units, but those still require monitoring my loads. I definitely have to turn off my hot water heater and limit running my split A/C unit.
