The picture of her head sunken in on the right side, is the result of a MEDICAL EMERGENCY going UNTREATED, following her FLASE ARREST and incarceration. What happened on the night of March 21, 2022 that led to Nicoleโs arrest? Well, in-dash camera footage from Trooper Barnesโs patrol car tells the story of how one womanโs medical complaints went completely unanswered. Instead, she was arrested for being INTOXICATEDโฆ. 38 y/o Nicole McClure was living in Olympia, Washington, at the time of this incident. She worked on the night shift, stocking at a Walmart in Thurston County, and was a reliable employee. On the night of March 21, 2022, Nicole was working her regular shift when she began to fell unwell. Nicole had a severe headache and felt confused. After talking with her co-workers, she decided she needed to leave work early and go home sick. During her drive back home to Olympia, Nicole continued to feel confused and would get turned around. Her confusion was causing Nicole to swerve and drive UNDER the speed limit. This caught the attention of Washington State Trooper, Jonathan Barnes, who would attempt to pull Nicole over (but in her confusion, Nicole didnโt realize this was law enforcement behind her car, flashing their lights, and she would keep driving slowly down the road). Not long after Trooper Barnes attempted to Pull Nicole over, her car would come to a stop on its own after she hopped the curb in a roundabout. Thankfully this was around 3 am, and no one else was on the road. Trooper Barnes would IMMEDIATELY pull his gun, run up, and yank Nicole out of her car. Nicole REPEATEDLY told the Trooper she didnโt feel well, and was confused, but he was NOT buying it. Trooper Barnes, WITHOUT conducting any field sobriety or breathalyzer tests, arrested Nicole for DUI and Felony Eluding. In custody, Nicole was first driven to the hospital for a blood test (that test would later show SHE WAS SOBER) and then she was taken to the Thurston County Jail, for booking. What happened over the next 24 hours changed Nicoleโs life FOREVER. Nicole wasnโt drunk or under the influence of some mind altering substance, she was experiencing a very serious MEDICAL EMERGENCY, the type of medical emergency where every second counts. Nicole was left in a jail cell on the cement floor, unable to get up, covered in her own urine, obviously in serious distress โฆwhile guards in the jail can be heard mocking her, asking Nicole โdoes she want another shot?โ Nicole would make it out of the jail alive, barelyโฆ.and once at the hospital, Nicole would spend the next 17 days there, having part of her skull removed, fighting for her life.
