I grew up in a tap water, no appetizer, no dessert family, lol. And you know what, dad was right, appetizers do ruin your dinner 😂

I don't mind paying a premium for some of those things. I go out to dinner to enjoy the night and not worry about how much I spend because they are making too much profit.

Corkage fees. I’m willing to pay 25-35 for them to uncork, decant, serve, keep my bottle chilled but I’ve seen them as much as $65-75 😳

I am so disappointed when I go out for a lovely dinner lately. I come home thinking I wasted my money. I agree pasta to me is filler food, like Jell-O and ice cream.

You forgot salad. Tell me that they’re not just opening up a bag of that Taylor farm premade, prewashed crap and putting it on your plate and then some adding some grilled chicken to the top. It rots my socks to spend $25 on a salad that you could make for five bucks at home. I never buy salad at a restaurant.

Here’s a good one. I paid $4.00 for a glass of iced tea. It’s damn good iced tea though. But, I can get a loaded baked potato for $3.00 . Please make it make sense.

I find it hard to buy a 20oz soda for $3.00 at the grocery store, so no way am I buying one at a restaurant. I actually carry Crystal Light On-the-Go packets & liquid water enhancer to add to my water. In some instances, I actually carry my own tumbler into the restaurant filled with whatever I want to drink🤷🏽♀️
