Well, they're made for it. Bank cameras are for general observation, not detail viewing, but HD cameras and AI upscaling can provide massive amounts of detail for potential facial recognition, assuming the criminal is stupid enough to not wear a mask (something that is gonna start to become more common as surveillance society grows)

Theme parks are getting $10-$20 a photo from the rider, if they buy one. The bank is insured and doesn't care if the robbers are caught. The cameras in a bank are more for insurance premium reduction and employee surveillance.

that roller coaster camera brings in a solid $1,000 a day profit. it paid for itself within the first 30 days, the bank gets a discount on its insurance for having a camera and gets the tax write off so it pays for itself after several years. money talks and bs walks, always has and always will.
