Mist trail is very steep 😅 we had to take breaks. This is my 12 year old on the way up. Can’t wait to go back.

The Mist Trail is iconic. Start early to avoid crowds May - July. It’s not a long hike, but it is steep. THANK YOU for letting people know about the jewel that is Tuolomne Meadows. I’m a lifetime local and that’s where we all had during the summer to avoid the crowds of the valley. Some of the best day, hikes and backpacks in the world.

Yosemite Conservancy has a bike share program that rents bikes for 2 hours for free! I figured that out last month and thought that was amazing for those who may not need it for the whole day but wants to go to near by places and just vibe

When the river is high enough, get a river inner tube and float down the Merced river. So relaxing

I live in Central California. My home in Madera, Ca. is 84 miles from the El Portal entrance gate. Highy 140 to Mariposa, to the El Portal is the best route into Yosemite National Park. Highway 41 will get the kids and adults car sick if you drive to fast. I don't know about traffic problems into the park through Highway 120. Traffic on Highway 120 into Yosemite during the summer gets pretty heavy, with peak congestion hitting between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, and specific weekday highway surges typically occurring from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.

I was just there Labor Day weekend! It was my first time at Yosemite. I did the Mist Trail. I didn’t see the rainbow! 😭 It was so beautiful though.

Do they provide bike locks or what do you do in between adventuring in different spots?

Curry village was awful, the tents are like staying in a concentration camp, we did see some of the cabins and they looked pretty run down. We had 2 nights booked and actually wanted 3 but it was fully booked, but we ended up booking into an Airbnb straight after night one 😏
