@midnight_nightmare_files: I went to a carnival with my friends one summer night. It was crowded, loud, and completely normal. Until I noticed an old ride sitting at the very back of the carnival. It looked like a small spinning train. Nobody was riding it. But the operator kept waving people over. He looked at me and said: “You should try it. You’re already on the list.” I laughed and asked what list. He didn’t answer. My friend thought it would be funny, so we got on. There were four seats. We sat in the first two. The other two seats were empty. ⸻ The ride started. After a few seconds, the lights around the carnival disappeared. Everything went completely black. Then the operator shouted: “Nobody move!” We all froze. I could hear the ride slowly spinning. Then I felt someone sit down beside me. I assumed one of my friends had moved. I whispered: “Who just sat down?” Nobody answered. Then I felt a hand grab my arm. I pulled away. Suddenly, all the lights came back on. The ride stopped. Everyone immediately got off. I turned around to see who had grabbed me. The seat behind me was empty. ⸻ I asked the operator what happened. He looked confused. Then he said: “What do you mean?” I told him someone had grabbed my arm. He stared at me for a few seconds. Then he asked: “How many people were riding with you?” I said three. He looked at the ride. Then he slowly shook his head. “There were only two of you.” I looked at my friends. One of them was pale. He pointed toward the empty seat. There was a wet handprint on it. We left immediately. Later that night, I checked my phone. There was a video in my camera roll that I didn’t remember recording. It showed us getting onto the ride. But the camera was pointed from behind us. You could clearly see four people sitting in the four seats. I paused the video. The fourth person was sitting directly behind me. Their face was turned toward the camera.
