Nail tech here 👋🏽. This can happen exactly why you said it would. But once a greenie is exposed to oxygen it literally dies. Soak in hydrogen peroxide and you can put another nail on it if you’d like. The actual bacteria is dead but won’t go away, you have to wait for that to just grow out. 🖤

You'll kill me but I disinfect the nail, buff it off, and disinfect again. Leave it for a day with antibacterial gel on a bandaid and move on. The green has never come back.....

so the greenie bacteria dies when exposed to oxygen ❤️you can wait about 1 hour before putting on new nails, but whatever is comfortable for you 😁
