That means it doesn’t move or empty properly, and even water feels like glass shards when it hits my stomach. It causes intense nausea, vomiting, bloating, and pain — and no, not even sips are comfortable. But I also have POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), a form of dysautonomia where your heart rate spikes abnormally when you stand, and your body struggles to regulate blood flow. Without enough fluid and salt, I get lightheaded, dizzy, or even pass out. Here’s the thing: I am hydrated. I get TPN and IV fluids daily through a port in my chest — but because I can’t drink, I need other ways to help trigger saliva and support my body when POTS flares up. That’s where @Buoy Rescue Salt comes in. I place a few drops under my tongue, and it instantly makes my mouth water — helping reduce that lightheaded, “about to drop” feeling, without having to drink anything. It’s not a cure. But it helps.
