For everyone wandering, Greece wasn't united until the byzantine empire was formed, even tho everyone on Greek lands, Turkish coasts, northern lands (albania, Skopje and a bit of Bulgaria) called themselves Hellenes, spoke the same language, believed in the same gods and had close relationships with eacother, they were all different countries, and even city states (like modern Vatican city) existed but all believed they were one race and united against Persian threats, that's why he conquered Greece, because they weren't one country (like modern Greece and Cyprus for example)
