Writing Afghans are among the most hospitable and respectable people in the world, but decades of political interference have distorted our country’s image. Afghanistan’s politics has too often looked like a puppet show, where one player is replaced by another while ordinary Afghans pay the price. I do not blame the British or American people; I question the political establishments and foreign policies that have repeatedly interfered in Afghanistan’s future. Afghanistan must have the right to choose its own path, without being controlled, manipulated, or used as a battlefield for outside interests. If you continue supporting groups that have brought violence and suffering to our people, you cannot claim to be supporting the Afghan people. Let Afghans decide their own future—we deserve peace, dignity, independence, and the freedom to build our own country.
