The days motivation disappeared—but I moved anyway. The times I fell out of my routine—but started again. The moments doubt whispered, "It's too late"—but I took the next step. At 72, I've learned that self-respect isn't loud. It's built quietly, through the promises you keep when nobody is watching. And no, I haven't been perfect. I've missed days, lost momentum and needed rest. But missing one day isn't giving up. Giving up is deciding you're no longer worth the effort. So if you've neglected yourself lately, don't wait for Monday or for life to become easier. Keep one small promise to yourself today. Take the walk. Choose the nourishing meal. Go to bed earlier. Begin again. One of the promises I keep every single morning is NMN — the one habit I never let slide, no matter how the day is going. Your body may change—but the deeper transformation happens when you learn to trust yourself again.
