Let me tell a story. A man is in a house it’s decorated for a party he invited everyone he knew he made a cake, drinks, got games, all types of fun one would like then the men walk to the front of the door and waits waiting for the guest to come with a smile while outside the house the people he invited are walking past the house like it’s nothing because they don’t care about the man some are even making fun of him others are doing things he wouldn’t like and most are forgetting who the man is and if he even existed meanwhile the man is inside just patiently waiting and waiting and waiting first for seconds then minutes then hours then days then months until it turns to years all while the man is still in the same place waiting and waiting he even prepared new food and then when it seems like it’s going to be the same process of no one coming until the door opens after girl who looking worried and afraid scared that the man would be angry after all he should be he been waiting here for long time in the same place with all this food drinks and games the father prepared for him but when she looks up at him he already hugging her smiling at her and talking about what they should do next no anger in site just happy that she here the girl confused she even ask “Why…why aren’t you angry I forgot about you and came late to the party.” Then the man puts a hand on her shoulder and says “Why would I be angry at you when came to me for it’s never too late for you to come to me.” The girl even more confused now crying “I forgot about you and talk about you yet you are so kind to me why.” And then the man hug her and said “For I forgave you and knew you were lost and yet you found your way to my home all on your own now let us celebrate the cake is melting.” The man jokes as the girl understanding nods and agrees as they go to celebrate. The man in the story is supposed to represent Jesus and the girl is all of us. Just like the man invited everyone to come to his home Jesus is inviting all of us to the kingdom of Heaven and is waiting for us to take his invite and come to him for when we do he will now yell and be angry but will be loving kind, patient and understanding.
