Super toxic and controlling bosses like this just make me assume they miss the "good old days" when you could own people and control exactly when and how they worked. As long as my work is getting done on time and correctly, you shouldn't care exactly how I spend every second of my day.

Maybe they can but I would not work for them. If you really don’t trust me I don’t want to work for you. My quality/quantity of work should be sufficient. That’s just me. I was with my last employer over 20+ years and the last 4 remote.

The truth is most people that wfh do more work than in the office. There are less distractions and they work around the clock, usually before and after established hours. It allows flexibility for workers to get other things done while also being productive. It’s a win-win.

I am so much more productive from home than I am in office. I spend a lot more consecutive time at my desk in the office, I take many more breaks at home. And yet: my output is consistently both better quality and more prolific when I work remotely.
