@priscillabrawn: these hormones have been getting the better of me more days than not lately. I feel so overwhelmed with the idea of having 2 babies and the thought of not having the capability to meet all of their needs + my own #motherhood #motherhoodunplugged #toddlermom #pregnanttoddlermom #thirdtrimester
for the hospital, could you just have someone watch her during the day and your husband go home with her overnight?

I just had my 3rd baby in June. I have a 7 year old and 2 year old. I knew my 7 year old would be okay, she’s stayed with family before. My 2 year old had never spent a night away from me, she’s incredibly shy and dependent on me. She handled it with zero issues. She slept and ate fine. I did choose to go home a day early. I chose to have family bring her to the hospital about an hour before we planned to discharge and let her meet baby brother then and then we all left together. I left the ball in her court when it came to touching or holding him and she actually didn’t until a few days later, but she was so happy to see me and was completely normal around me and baby! It will be just fine, she will do great and so will you!

I completely agree especially with your last slide. I don’t have a second coming yet but it’s something I think about at least once a week. I feel guilty too to one day it not being just her and me. To be honest the fear has gotten to me so badly I sometimes think maybe I shouldn’t have more (and that also makes me sad).

is a birthing center an option? I left 6 hours after baby was born for that reason

Just take those few days in the hospital with you, your husband and new baby. It will fly by and if you trust the person who will have your little one, try not to overthink it 🥺 i had my daughter come up and visit while we were in the hospital and meet baby sister.. she was just ready to go back to Gma’s and play 😂 no care in the world. It’s harder on us as a mom than it is on the child. My girls are now 1.5 & 3.5! It gets easier, now that they are both playing together and just living their best lives my husband and I can finally breath and reconnect!! These phases in life don’t last long and makes your bond much stronger as you go through them ❤️good luck girl!

My oldest was 2 almost 3 when my second was born. My husband stayed the first night in the hospital with me then my mom came and my husband went home to spend the night with my oldest. I felt better about her only being away from us one night! He came back to the hospital the next day then we introduced them at home. This worked great for us!

I feel every single slide in my core. I keep playing the day I go into labor or make it to my scheduled c section over and over and each time I cry 😢
