Wait.. I think you’re confusing Rent Controlled apartments with Rent Stabalized Apartments. Rent Stabalized Apartment 100% experience rent increases. RENT CONTROLLED Apartment are apartments which DO NOT experience rent increases.

The only bad thing is my building got roaches but my rent is 758 and I thank hod everyday cause I prayed for a place without high rent they renovate and the apartment still falling apart

The landlords in New York City really send me because they want their tenants to pay off the mortgage. They want them to pay the taxes they want them to pay the repair cost. They want them to pay for the maintenance. They want them to pay for everything and still own the building and if they can’t have that, then they’ll just let it sit there. they want to be their property, but have anybody else pay for everything involved and it’s disgusting.

Its cheaper to keep it that way! Sorry if you dont agree,, but people ,, go online and see how much it cost to replace the apt ,, plumber,, electrician,, carpenter,, permits,, sometimes architects,,, taxes,,, water bill,, electricity,, insurance,,, be for real,,, bag of chips aint 25c no more

I've been saying this! I know 10 people that could renovate an apartment for less than $10,000. I mean gut it out! Landlords are greedy that's it! They rather get the tax break than rent it out! Ridiculous yo💯💯💯
