@everylatch: The more stimulation that the breasts receive in the early days the sooner the milk comes in. I do wanna make sure people understand that colostrum is milk it’s just in smaller volumes. This is NORMAL. So many people expect to see transitional milk volumes on day 1 but this isn’t realistic! Focus on good latching and expression of baby isn’t latching! My milk came threeish days after baby came…. But five weeks later and I’m a just enougher bordering on under supplier. What can I do (eventually) with my second baby to make sure I’m producing enough to not have to supplement with formula?
