People forget about the stark before and after. Them coming off the plane & seeing the people boarding they would have thought nothing of it at the time. Once the attack happened, they’d look back at that moment & realize how close they were to it. It seemed like any normal day before the attacks happened & it’s so scary to now realize “any normal day” can turn like that.

My husband (of two months at that point) was doing construction in those buildings just a few weeks prior. He still has his security badge. A former neighbor of ours worked for Cantor Fitzgerald but she was on maternity leave.

9/11 really changed humanity, it Humbled the tough, it toughened the weak, it made us all come together to divide us apart, it made America everything it wasn't and everything it is all at once, 9/11 made us, it was the part of history nobody ever knew they needed nor wanted but happened, it made US who we are at this very moment.
