Denji ending up with Power as the only girl to be around him was foreshadowed since the end of volume 6. Where the cafe owner tells Denji that "He'll find someone fit for him." Followed by Power barging inside. If you've read romance, you'd know that this is a trope used in these types of stories. And since Fujimoto started as a romance writer he should be aware of this said trope. Obviously the two are not meant to be tougher in a romantic (or sexual) way, but in a familiar/sibling-like relationship with Power being the only individual of a feminine gender that'll be around Denji.
