Thank you so much for this. Nigerians never waited to be included, or be invited into their spaces. We paved the way, and created our own space. Way before the internet, and social media, we championed Nollywood Movies which became a global phenomenon. We showcased our music, and didn’t care who liked it or not. We started our fashion brands, cosmetic, and makeup brands when people thought we couldn’t. Books written by 🇳🇬 Authors, are still part of Harvard and many Ivy League schools curriculums, till date. We found spaces to show the world our creativity (from clothing, accessories, shoes, handbags etc… which are CUSTOM MADE BY hand…) They laughed, and pointed, we didn’t care, neither did we care for their validation. We took pride in what we make, engineers, and manufactures. We look, and feel our best in our Native clothings. Like a flower 🌹 growing out of the concrete, we as NIGERIANS will find ways to sprout.
