y'all. when you don't have power for a while you don't have running water. if you have the jars taking up the space you may as well have water in them because how will you flick your toilet without running water? also, you can very easily kill the bacteria/mold, if you don't have running water you don't have your faucet to drink from. there's no reason to pay a monopoly for water which they stole from people when you can just use the water that runs to your house for magnitudes cheaper

has nobody ever had there power go out for days in a row or even hours? like yall realize you can’t get any water from ur sink or fridge. you can’t flush ur toilet, you can’t shower , you can’t wash ur hands, can’t do laundry, do dishes, and also very rarely you can grab a case of water from the store before they get sold out during power outages. my family keeps huge water things that are like 4 feet tall full of water just for this and last time we had a power outage we used it all and still needed more. better be safe then sorry

Unless you’re actively in a potential emergency situation, this is just going to cause unnecessary anxiety and turn into a mess. “Well the point of an emergency is that you don’t know it’s coming” and yes that’s true to an extent but with that logic you might as well go the full length. Board up your windows while you’re at it
