Why would you put something that already has cooling issues in a place with no airflow

if you repeatedly click your mouse and keyboard after you close your laptop you shouldn't have to have it open!

my tower case is awful because I invested on the components of my first ever PC, so I usually hide it in pictures.

please get a cooling pad for your laptop. I have a big chunky one and while it isn't the cutest my laptop has 0 issues overheating (yes I'm in bed right now. I'm sick lol) I use my laptop as a 2nd screen too when I do sit at my desk, its real helpful. I'll post a pic under of my desk set up

it overheats because you have it in an oven 💀 laptops already struggle with airflow and overheating, and then you put it in a closed cabinet so it just cooks in all the hot air it creates and gets hotter. take the door off the cabinet and put a fan in front of it if you don't wanna be buying a new laptop in a few months and hoping your files are recoverable from this one.
