It is the oldest still functional astronomical clock in the world — showing the position of the sun, moon, zodiac constellations and the time simultaneously, with twelve apostles appearing in procession every hour. Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle complex on earth — covering 70,000 square metres, containing palaces, churches, gardens and galleries within a single fortified complex occupied for over 1,000 years. Charles Bridge was built in 1357 on the orders of King Charles IV who chose the exact time of the first stone — 9th July 1357 at 5:31 AM — because the numbers form a perfect palindrome: 1-3-5-7-9-7-5-3-1. Prague survived both World Wars almost entirely intact. Every cobblestone is original. Every building is real.
