Iniki is the reason why I will NEVER trust any hurricane. That was so unprecedented and stuck with me since. Always be prepared, just don't have to go overboard with toilet paper lol 🤣🚽

Anything moving south is not to be trusted. I was living on Kaua’i for Iniki. We went to bed the night before without a worry and were woken up by sirens at 5am to start preparing for a direct hit later in the day. I’ll never forget it.
