@jessefunstuff: Jay’s first time dropping in! Well, kinda 🤷‍♂️ But today Jay wasn’t jumping off the board which makes me really proud! His confidence is improving, and even though he’s scared of falling, he was willing to try everything with a little convincing. Sometimes it’s hard to know whether I’m pushing him too hard or not, but looking back on my childhood, I’m grateful for a dad that helped me practice sports even when I didn’t want to. We always had a good relationship even though I remember times when I got frustrated and didn’t wanna practice. I’ll try to be that dad for Jay; the one that knows him well enough to help him learn and grow, encourages him to try, but never forcing.
