Jerry's Drive-In! Jerry was my grandma's brother. My cousin(his granddaughter) and I used to go there after closing and make our own mozzarella sticks and fill up the large Styrofoam cups with ice cream, good times!

We ate at New China Cafe instead of the Rice Bowl. Also went to La Nita's Mexican restaurant a lot! Oh, and Sambo's at the mall. Can't forget Rollen Donuts either (best donuts I've ever had anywhere in the country).

In the 70s, H&W was actually an A&W Drive-In, and I was a carhop there. Also, my grandfather built The Branding Iron. Jerry's Drive-In had the BEST fried chicken, and the Rice Bowl had amazing chow mein because they made their own noodles (although I think Hong Kong had better Chinese food overall). Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
