@the_em_powered_soul: I started playing a little game called “Whose problem is it?” Someone says or does something that could upset me, and instead of immediately taking it on, I dissect it. Is this actually about me? Is there something here I need to own? Or is this coming from their expectations, triggers, insecurities, or perspective? And if it’s theirs? I give it right back. No overthinking it. No replaying the conversation. No spending the next three hours trying to figure out what they meant. Not everything that gets handed to you is yours to carry. Figuring out whose problem it actually is has saved me SO much unnecessary energy. #highachievingwomen #selftrust #womenwhowantmore #innerfreedom #authenticliving
That is a good thought and may have SOME validity, but it can also be a way of dismissing a real concern about the impact you may be having on others. No one is an island unto themselves. We live in community.
