I’m Chinese from China, and I can understand why this issue raise. China is the only big nation never been colonised by western (only a few spots), so the most of the China citizens are difficult to understand multi-cultural and race countries, like Singapore and the other countries which has been created due to the western colonisation influence. Plus Singapore is the only Chinese race majority country out of China. I don’t think there are unrespect, just we don’t know that much. China Chinese has strong close feeling to Singapore Chinese. 🥰
