We did all the research on beagles, had the fenced in yard, and had background info on the seller. We tried so hard for 3 years including training programs. Right environment, wrong people. He just didn’t like us. He wasn’t aggressive at all, just really disinterested. Worked out that a friend’s uncle had just lost a beagle and his health had taken a hit. Doggo was in his perfect environment with his perfect people. 🥹 The uncle took the dog everywhere around his land in a gold cart. Guy at church said he looked better than he had in a while. Uncle said, “I got me a dog!” Felt so guilty until I realized it wasn’t a dislike thing or anyone’s fault, we just weren’t his people.

Just moved me and my reactive dog yesterday from an apartment to a duplex with a private yard. I am SO thankful I was in a position financially to the make that move for him.
