Anna :
So you're saying that women basically need to provide men with sex and make them feel desired in order to receive what I would simply call basic human care and connection in return?
Whether it's my friend, my aunt, my sister, my neighbour, or my partner: if I care about someone, I want them to feel safe around me. I don't need sex, validation, or anything else in return before I treat them with kindness, respect and consideration.
It's honestly bizarre to frame male protection and affection as something women somehow unlock by making men feel sexually desired, as if women need men to provide something we routinely provide for each other without expecting sex in return.
I'm in a long-term relationship with a man and yes, we have a healthy sex life. But the emotional connection, trust, affection and feeling of safety came first. That connection creates desire and not the other way around.
Turning intimacy into a transaction of "you make me feel sexually desired, and I'll make you feel safe and loved" isn't my idea of a loving relationship at all.
