I think people really need to learn the difference between missing an ERA and missing a version of a person. If you miss Sweetener/TUN Ariana, the music, the aesthetic, the performances etc., that’s completely fine. Those albums still exist. The videos are still on YouTube. You can revisit that era whenever you want. But constantly telling her “you were so much better back then” or wishing she would become that person again is incredibly weird, especially when that period of her life was clearly incredibly painful for her. She is allowed to grow, change, make different music and not aesthetically exist for your nostalgia. And the comments about her body are even worse. Being genuinely concerned about someone you like is one thing, but there is a MASSIVE difference between privately feeling concern and publicly analysing a stranger’s body, diagnosing her with an eating disorder she has never confirmed, deciding she must be miserable and repeating it under every picture/video of her. You are not her doctor, friend or family member. Loving her music and feeling connected to her does not make you part of her private life. If she is struggling with anything, she has actual people around her who know her and can support her. Thousands of strangers dissecting her appearance online is not “concern.” At some point it just becomes invasive.
