@tallguymile: Day 101! The mental health struggles are new for me. Appreciate any tips! #beginnerrunner #runningeveryday #debtpayoff #debtfreecommunity #runtok
I’m new here:) but my best advice is just to let it out! Talk to a friend or a stranger, write it down, journal, type it in ur notes. Anything to just get it out and not keep things inside! I’ve dealt with anxiety and mental health stuff for a very long time and just recently started to pick up writing everything out. You have to take care of yourself as well through this journey, and it’s hard to take care of someone when you aren’t taking care of yourself first. Proud of you stranger🫶

Let yourself struggle sometimes. We have to sit with uncomfortable feelings to process and learn from them. I’m not saying to wallow in your pity. You’ve been strong for so long, your body is hyperaroused. The feeling in your chest is a common somatic symptom of stress/anxiety. You may also be experiencing tension in your body without noticing it. Try to set some time aside for “self care”. Find an activity that you can easily do to find the flow state. Running likely feels overwhelming for your mind and body right now, and that’s okay! you’re an inspiration and an excellent husband. remind yourself of how awesome you are.

My wife deals with anxiety among other mental health struggles and it's a daily battle rather than something we just "fix"
Some days you do better while others are pretty dang tough.
Don't be shy about talking about anything, whether that be with someone close to you, a stranger in line at the dmv, or one of your viewers on the internet. Just talking about our feelings or struggles is a huge advantage in managing them. You don't necessarily have to "let it all out", but we're all human and we can all relate on some level and that helps.
Keep going and stay hydrated!

You’re doing awesome, bro! I understand the anxiety thing, it always seems to hit us at the strangest points in our lives, it may sound strange, but some of the best ways I’ve learned to deal with it is to talk to God and let go of my desire to control the situations I’m in, I feel like I often get anxiety about outcomes and wanting certain ones, but accepting the possibilities makes it a bit easier, hope that helps!

I know it's easier said than done but try to focus on what you can control and when you can't talk to someone or I hear Journaling is very effective

the body keeps the score! you may be ok, but your body remembers everything. this is also an amazing book! keep talking about it, let the trauma of last year out.

I too have anxiety and it sucks. Mine is more related to my health but running /exercises is great for anxiety. Meditation is helpful, cold plunges also great.
