The best way to help swimmers learn to create length at speed is to design sets that demand it. With simple constraints, and a little variability, swimmers can start to learn one of the most important skills in swimming. Too many swimmers lose efficiency when they try to go fast. This set doesn’t let them do it. They start off swimming big with the stroke count restriction, but they still have to go fast. How? That’s for them to figure out. As the repetition numbers drop, they get more strokes, and they should be able to go even faster. Not only are swimmers learning how to go fast while maintaining their efficiency, but they’re also learning how to change gears to control their speed as well. All in one set.
