This is genuinely so interesting! It made me think of a character I have and an idea I had for them, and, I'm not sure if you would have knowledge on this specific method, but I love to hear an opinion from someone who actually uses the math for their art like that!

My idea for this character is thay she is an artist, but, she has a difficult time simply drawing what she sees, or from imagination. That, combined with coming from a family of genuinely that critic and demean against her passion for art, she learns to use equations. An example of this would be that she can look at that bookshelf, nestled in the corner of her room with the side table X units away from it, and calculate either objects length height width and distance, to then scale and draw out each line as if it were on a graph, instead of thinking about it like one big object. Similarly, I would think she could learn to break down the features of the face and body into shapes, and use those to compose an artistic image of a person.
