@kingsroar: Okay this is a bit of a yap but I need you guys to hear me out … Of all the segments, segment 35 or Dottore seems to be the only one that does not consider himself to be Zandik. We see that in the way that he says that he calls himself Dottore and reserves the name Zandik for the original. We also see that in the way that he asks the other segments if they feel remorse for Zandik after the dissection to which they say of course since they are Zandik, but the fact that Dottore had to even ask further makes me believe that he does not consider himself Zandik in the slightest. As he’s described as the most selfish, I believe it was this age where he most selfishly rejected Zandik, or his human side. Just as everyone else, Dottore viewed Zandik as something to be outcasted and removed. He saw him as a hindrance and a weakness, and while he did have scientific interest in dissecting Zandik, I do believe that it was also his own personal resentment that contributed to the decision. 35 often speaks about how he’s rejected his mortal fears and devoted himself entirely to science, which gives him all the more reason to hate this weak human Zandik. To me Dottore wearing the elixir this serves as both a reminder and a mockery. The elixir is a huge representation of the fact that Zandik is a human with a human life that needs to use other methods to keep himself alive, unlike the segments. Along with that, Zandiks dissection contributed to the elixir and helped to perfect it. It was his very humanity that made Zandik be seen as a liability and something that needed to be discarded. Because he is human, he was the one who was aging, the one who was weak, and the one who made a perfect candidate to be used to improve the elixir. Dottore accessorized the elixir and in turn Zandiks contribution to it because to him, it’s useless.
